SPRAY PAINTED MUG

The other day when I was making hot cocoa, I thought that my little mugs could use some sprucing up. So I cleaned and dried off the mug, put some tape on, protected the top part of the mug by taping on some newspaper and then sprayed it with some gold spray paint. Super easy and quick! I didn't treat it after I spray painted, so I don't know that it will do well with washing, so I just have it as a decoration in my kitchen for now.

  3. This is so cute! Would love to try this on a vase or something. What spray paint did you use? It's so hard to find the perfect gold.

    1. I agree and I have bought so much of this particular gold color because I love it so much! It's Krylon short cuts metallic gold paint. I bought it at Hobby Lobby in a little can, but I am sure you can buy it where ever Krylon paints are sold.

  14. Do you think it would be ok to go in the dishwasher?

    1. Probably not... I would gently hand wash it only-that's what I have done. Unless you were to seal it somehow, then it might be ok in the dishwasher.
